Forging a career in the aviation industry was a natural choice for 26AVIATION’s founder and managing director, Sam Heather. Hailing from a family of pilots and seasoned aircraft brokers, he was introduced to the exciting world of charter aviation from the age of 5 and since then he developed a genuine passion and deep understanding for the industry.
From establishing himself as a successful and trusted charter broker, to leading the commercial department of a London based charter airline, Sam gained immense experience and a breadth of knowledge that today are indispensable to 26AVIATION’s vision, growth and success.
26AVIATION unites all of Sam’s expertise, as the company offers the full spectrum of aircraft charter services, including private, cargo and group charters on a 24/7/365 basis. He has also garnered an in-depth knowledge of the Aircraft on Ground (AOG) charter logistics sector - a highly niche area of aircraft chartering, transporting spare aircraft components and airline personnel to stranded aircraft on a time-critical basis.

Our UK based headquarters is located in the historical Airport House at Croydon Airport, famous for being one of the world’s major international airports during the 1920s and 30s.
Today, both Airport House and Croydon Airport have gained iconic status due to the many seminal aviation milestones that were achieved in the early years of the industry. These include the world’s first air traffic control tower, the birth of the departure board and where the term Mayday was established by Frederick Stanley Mockford in the 1920s.
