AN225 Mriya – A Tribute
This one-of-a-kind aircraft transported urgent medical supplies from China to Denmark, delivering life-saving cargo in its characteristic awe-inspiring style. The operation stands as a momentous occasion in our history, and the 26AVIATION team travelled to Denmark to document the mission. We captured footage of the AN225 in all its glory as it completed its last-ever cargo flight—a fitting testament to its legacy of serving global needs with unmatched capability and strength.
Shortly after its final flight, the AN225 returned to its home at Gostomel Airport in Ukraine, where it was tragically destroyed during the early stages of the Russian invasion in March 2022.
Like so many in the global aviation community, we mourned the loss of an aircraft that was not just a technological marvel but also a symbol of ambition and human ingenuity. To commemorate this historic moment, we created a tribute video, featuring exclusive footage from the AN225’s final charter flight. Below, you’ll also find a gallery of photos captured on the day, showcasing the aircraft in all its breathtaking grandeur as it completed one last mission of service to humanity.
